Hi Eskay,
Thanks for your email, and nice of you to inform me about your web details for the first time. Indeed it is a very good collective effort shown the part of your club, now called Toa Payoh Central TMC.
Having known your club since its Skymedia days, and several of your club members at the few chapter meetings I attended and at the contest and other Toastmasters events, I could easily give my observations about your club and your members especially the core group.
All Toastmasters are just beads threaded by a chain of human hands and
injected with the soul of camaraderie. We are grouped together to learn public
speaking, without use of textbooks, supervision of college professors or the
confines of a classroom.

Your Club and its members ....
You have a very competent and cohesive group of loyal and staunch Toastmasters, who would go beyond their expectation to assist other Toastmasters, especially those recently chartered ones. They would not hesitate to assist in finding a help say a Project Evaluator even if they could themselves not help out at a specific time.
What’s more, they would even call back or SMS to check if such a need
still required. This was a vivid reflection of an altruistic attitude from seasoned
Toastmasters toward other less experienced Toastmasters. These exemplary instances
help make possible the proper functioning of a novice Toastmasters Club.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother ....
You should be proud having your Toastmasters who go to “resuscitate” the spirit of other flagging Toastmasters Clubs and help place them on the speaking trail and flourish again. At scheduled area and division contests and other major Toastmasters events, such as COT, Anniversary and other Special occasions, it easy to witness some of your Toastmasters playing leading and supporting roles to inject the spirit and substance to get the Toastmasters leadership activities going.
They simply thought to give, never to think of what to receive, in return.
At your chapter meetings,
you will have these Toastmasters present to give speeches, evaluate or lead in some other activities. It is all the more remarkable that within your club, you are self sufficient in having your own group of Project Evaluators, Language Evaluators and General Evaluators and a coterie of other highly visible Toastmasters personalities to call if need be.
However, there is a wish of other Toastmasters who always feel happy to visit your clubs and indulge in your fellowships to enjoy, learn and share your collective sense of good humor. It is all the more remarkable to realize that all of you are also full time professionals who are out to help make the vision of the Toastmasters vision a reality.
You collectively have actually proven right what the Founder of Toastmasters International, Dr Smedley, over 80 years ago, had set out to achieve for individuals in particular and for group learning in general.
What is Toastmasters all about?
All Toastmasters are just beads threaded by a chain of human hands and injected with the soul of camaraderie. We are grouped together to learn public speaking, without use of textbooks, supervision of college professors or the confines of a classroom.
We learn in the true peerage spirit of “Together We Prosper”. When we speak, others have to listen attentively, and yet a selected few have to make an evaluation or judgment.
Where else in the World .... ?
There is hardly any similar setting the world over bearing the features of the Toastmasters Learning Environment. Some may not notice the impact of this seemingly innocuous kind of chapter meetings occurring once or twice a month.
However, the positive effects are colossal, individual-wise and limpid. Great speakers, well-nigh world champions were born this way. Great leaders too appeared on the horizon to shepherd the sheepish Toastmasters, who shake hands with their cold palms.
It is not just the warmth shown by the leading, inspiring and exemplary Toastmasters who inject fellowship and joy into the learning environment, but it is their coming to play the Toastmasters game where all members irrespective of backgrounds are regarded as equals.
Are we there yet ?
As you know, All Good Speakers were Bad Speakers at first, and many who have trusted their learning paths in the hands of Toastmasters, will turn out to shake hands with warm palms.
I could easily identify some of you at Toa Payoh Toastmasters Club, like ATMB, CL Tay Yiang Ping, CL Eskay Ng, ATMB, CL Albert Lim, ATMS, CL Yeo Chai Tun, et al., who could rank foremost as shining examples of Toastmasters in the category I described.
Cheers.

Teo Kim See, CL
came to the Toastmasters World, quite by chance. Way back in late 2002, he emailed
one inquiry to Toastmasters International for some information.
Based on a reply from TI, he set the ball rolling with a demo meeting to culminate
in the inauguration of Raffles Town Toastmasters on Feb 19, 2003.
There were 29 charter members, and he was voted to be the charter president.
Competent Leader Kim-See Teo is now the IPP.
The rest as they say is now history .......
